Summary
Follow these steps to learn about how to hang a
mirror that uses sliding clips to attach it to
the wall:
1 Mark the bottom edge
2 Positioning the mirrror
3 Marking hole positions
4 Drilling the holes
5 Attaching the clips
6 Fitting the mirror
Step 1 - Marking the bottom edge
The first thing to do is to mark where you want
the bottom edge of the mirror to be. Use a
spirit level to ensure accuracy.
Step 2 - Positioning the mirror
Hold the mirror against the wall, level up with
your line and then mark the position of all four
corners. Join the corner marks together using a
steel rule or similar straight edge.
Step 3 - Marking the hole positions
Use adjustable clips for the top and sides and
fixed clips for the base. On the clips measure
the distance between the screw hole and the base.
With this distance measure and mark the hole
positions.
Step 4 - Drilling the holes
You are now ready to drill the holes in the wall
for the clips and fit the wall plugs.
Step 5 - Attaching the clips
Attach each clip with its washer. With the
adjustable clips leave enough room to be able to
move them with your hand. Extend the adjustable
clips to their most extended positions.
Step 6 - Fitting the mirror
Slide the mirror into position so it rests on the
bottom clips. Now you can slide in the top and
side clips if you have used them.
